Even on those day I feel gross or lethargic or like I got hit by a bus I always feel better after getting to workout. I may still be tired, but at least there is a small sense of accomplishment there too. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Sometimes people ask how I can workout so much or so hard. My answer is simple. I enjoy it. I may not enjoy every rep or every set or even every workout, but what I do enjoy is looking in the mirror and knowing that I'm building the body I want. Not for anyone else, but for myself. Personal Development Cardio

This really is a great way to kill two birds with one stone.  I suggest long steady state low Zone cardio at least once a week.  It's great as a deload for your nervous system and works your aerobic capacity teaching your body how to efficiently burn fat.  I also do one moderate Zone cardio piece per week, this is a run or a combination of other exercises like: stairs, rower, elliptical, mixed and matched to work on oxygen consumption at a cellular level. 
I really have fallen in love with listening to educational material during this time.

Robert Bly
Tony Robbins
Zig Ziglar
Dave Chappelle (yes I like to have fun too.) I often hear people complain about cardio however adding this two-for-one to it is what sold it for me!  I can tell due to the bipedal motion which connects the cognitive and artistic sides of my brain the information seems to stick.

Audible is another great choice and if you read one book per year in your chosen field then you are ahead of 70% of the other people in your field.  It's astounding.

This particular set of exercises focuses on one individual part of the body to ensure every aspect is looked after. 
I’ve been doing this first thing in the mornings, but find a time that works for you. 
I recommend doing it everyday, like flossing, but way more important. You can live without teeth, but not without a sane mind and able body. 
Move one body part at a time. It is the simplest way to focus your scattered mind to a single point of awareness.

Don’t forgot to breath, do it in any way that’s comfortable and easy for you. Nose, mouth, doesn’t matter. Have fun and enjoy!

It has long been understand that exercise improves people’s cognitive abilities, including executive function, attention and memory, and brain structure. This is especially true in older adults, but does exercise show the same improvements in the younger adult population?⁣
⁣
A new study looked at the connection between cognitive function and brain structure to how “fit” each individual was. The study found that the young adults who had higher levels of endurance were positively associated with better scores on their cognitive assessment. Even further, the “fitter” group also had more cortical white matter than their “unfit” counterparts.⁣
⁣
The takeaway? Exercise is beneficial at any age for brain health and cognition and improving your fitness skills could improve your cognitive ability, including problem-solving skills, attention and memory.⁣

10 weeks between photos. 
I can see difference when taking photos or looking in the mirror it feels great. 
This journey to a healthier me isn't easy. I've had minor slip ups. Difference is I still have my mind on the goal. 
If I slip up the most important thing is how I follow on from that. In the past I'd catastrophize, guilt myself so much that I would later hold the attitude of stuff it and then make multiple bad choices from there. Truth is if you can slip up, make the next choice carefully. If you still want to reach your goals how can you get back on track, can you go to the gym to burn it off, eat lower Cals like a salad or protein smoothie for your next meal?
Until you realise you're the driver of your own life, you are in control of your actions, there will be no real change. 
I'm fighting for change over here and am happy to be seeing some too

Try to do exercises one leg or one arm to check symmetry and strength balance; most of us are stronger on one side and this can be corrected. Even though I am left handed my right arm is bigger and stronger than my left and my left leg is stronger than my right mostly because my right leg was my planting leg and landing leg for sports so I exercise and train accordingly.

This will be such a good Challenge for you to join because everyone could use better sleep. 
Well, except for that one friend who always sleeps 8-9 hours a night and is perfectly rested all the time. Whatevs! Mother of two, well three if you count the husband. Lol. Jk. No I’m not! 

So anyway my point is there are many different sleep problems. And mine happens to be winding down at night to actually get into the bed. 
By the time my head hits the pillow tho, I’m out! Like a light. I sleep like a rock! I am blessed. However, my work and working out schedule is more demanding these days and requires me to sleep sooner and get up earlier. 
Starting that daily spiritual practice in the morning is soooo important for everything in my life.  Now, I know a lot of other people have problems once they are in bed. Like their mind is chattering away. They can’t stop thinking and some are stuck thinking about work. 
Yuck! Who wants to work all day. Then come home and think about work nonstop and you’re not even getting paid for that time! Eeeek!

See, but I have been there too. Eew! I used to think about work way too much. And it was kind of disguised by feeling Like it was my duty to be thinking about work all the time, planning ahead.  Booooo!

Until I started meditating did I figure this one out and start making changes. We’ll talk more about that later. 
Other people tho have a problem staying asleep. And I have heard this more than once. People got certain traumas that wake them up at night. It’s called PTSD and it’s real and it’s not just former military folks experiencing this ok. 
So compassion for my peoples! I feel for you even though our journeys may be different. I still believe we can help each other. 
We’ve got to have courage to change. To evolve. To heal. 
Let me offer you this... anytime we are going through something uncomfortable or experiencing an illness or pain trust that this is a call to go deeper.

Let me explain 
The three macros - macronutrients, are carbs, protein and fat. They are the three main suppliers of nutrients in your diet. In addition to providing the body with energy, macros serve a lot of other vital functions. -
If you have been counting your calories but not getting a correct percentage of any of your Macronutrients, this could be the problem. ———————————————————————-
You don’t need to cut out carbs or fat
It’s all about eating them in moderation along with your protein and balancing them all out. You can still have treats! ————————————————————————

One of the main questions I get asked
What is the diet is best for me????? 
Your friend said a no carb diet, google says the keto diet, magazines say soup diets, paleo diet, no sugar diet, Atkins diet and the list gos on and onnnnn. ——————————————————————
My answer is.. a normal balanced diet which you can stick to every day without calling it a diet! ️ ——————————————————————
Let’s say you do the no carb diet with your friend, you cut out carbs and loose weight but when you add carbs back in you usually gain the weight straight back because it’s not sustainable. You need carbs in your diet. Carbs are not bad. ️
If you want sustainable results you have to enjoy what you eat and eat a balance of foods! Everyones calories will be different and everyone has a different preference with foods. ———————————————————
You have firstly got to find out what’s best for you and enjoy a balance of nutritious foods in your calorie daily intake and be consistent with it. Don’t go from one craze to the next shocking your body. And that doesn’t mean you can’t still have treats.
