-Back on after needing a bit of time away after a tough week! Only trained twice last week, as was all I worked, and had no motivation to train any more! Trained Upper and Lower so every body part was hit to keep it ticking over!
.
-7th week into the bulk now, and weight has dropped from a poor week of training and eating, from 81.7kg on the 4th to being 81kg today! A lot of 80kg days throughout last week, but I’m now going to hit training and food hard to reach my goal and get the weight up in the next 5 weeks!!
.
-Feeling very sore after todays session, but weights were feeling very good, and had @sj_broadbent take part in the first half of the session, was nice to have someone to train with, definitely pushed me harder!!
.
-Excited to see where I can get to in the next 5 weeks, really want to push myself to limits, increase my strength, size and weight!

Fail to plan, plan to fail.... if you’re serious about your nutrition, gaining muscle/weight, losing weight, overall health, then you absolutely have to meal plan weekly OR you’ll fail 🤷‍️. I used to think that meal prepping was extremely difficult and that I couldn’t do it.  I used to think I didn’t need to track but  couldn’t figure out why my  body wouldn’t change despite my efforts in the gym.  I was planning to fail🤷‍️ and not being strategic.  Since taking my fitness journey more seriously back in January, I’ve been using @Isolatorfitness meal prep bags and planning my breakfast, mid morning snack, lunch, mid afternoon snack, and dinner weekly! This helps me track my nutrition and save money cause I’m not buying lunch/breakfast daily! If you’re struggling with meal prepping, let me know . I have some hacks! Feel free to DM. One of the best ways to improve if you don’t have a coach in your specific sport, is to film yourself and do your research. Watch people online and compare your stroke (in my case swimming) to theirs. You can watch your video back, critic yourself and then improve on it  My current goal is to swim a mile non stop, in under an hour. Achievable and not to out of my reach within the next month. I’ve never had a swimming coach (apart from my Dad when I was younger) so it’s important that I do this, in order for me to be as efficient in the pool as possible

So, today we have our good friend and Yoga instructor @marta_masiero here to talk about one of the ways in which you can improve your balance... YOGA! 🤸‍️🧘‍️🤸‍️🧘‍️ Marta:
We often talk about balance in yoga classes; some balance poses we do on our feet, others on our hands, or even our head!!! All these postures give us both physical and mental benefits. 
Physically, through balance we: ⁃	strengthen and elongate our muscles ⁃	engage our core and focus on our centre of gravity ⁃	learn how to achieve correct alignment ⁃	find stability through the principles of rooting and grounding. 
As for mental benefits, balance poses teach us ⁃	to focus our attention inwards and disregard external stimulation ⁃	to stay steady and find internal stillness and calm ⁃	to find the connection between body and mind through the breath 
These are all important qualities we can engage on and off the mat, to practice yoga in our daily lives as well as when joining a class! As you can see, Yoga is a great way to practice and strengthen your balance and because Yoga reduces stress it can also help minimize symptoms of vestibular disorders. 🤸‍️🧘‍️🤸‍️🧘‍️ Who here takes part in Yoga? 🦞 Are you after that V shape and some good back definition?? Here are a few of my favorite cable exercises for back.

🦞 The Incline pull down is great because it hits the center of the back right inbetween/just below the shoulder blades in particular , and basically all the other auxiliary muscles in the back. In this variation you will feel muscles working that you didn't know you had  It's a good way to isolate a lat pull down while involving some different muscles. Exercise credit to my guy @arthurtwonzarelli ..

🦞 This superset I just threw together with the first exercise I got from @ryan_spiteri which is  an incline cable pullover and then the straight arm push down. These are both great exercises for getting a good stretch and pumping blood, defining and getting thickness/widening the lats. ..

Holiday diet done  to be honest I looked better a few weeks ago but have been extremely busy the past few weeks. Diet kind of went out the window the last 2 days but oh well. I’m Happy with the outcome  Is it the biggest I’ve looked? No. Is it the leanest I’ve looked ? No. But I’m happy and that’s what counts. Why? Because I have BALANCE to my life which I was lacking for so long. I was obsessed (to an unhealthy level) with how I looked but now I feel great mentally and that’s all that counts. This will be the starting point for me to start taking my own training more seriously again and it’s a pretty good place to be actually. Excited to start packing some muscle on again very soon  but for now it’s time for much needed downtime ️️see you soon Tenerife ️ @limitlesstrainingnutrition @cleaneatsdirtytreats @powerhousesouthshields
