Words can’t describe how proud I am of this man for stepping foot into the gym and actually wanting to change a few things about himself, not only his body but also his mind! I am far from a  PT or anything like that but knowing I’m helping someone develop and get better within the gym makes me happy. If there is one thing I can advise him (which he already knows) is that it’s not all about how much weight you are putting onto that machine but it’s how you perfect your technique and use your mind over muscle when it comes to getting your reps out! In the short space of time I’m so impressed with how he is handling some of the machines and the things I’m advising him to do he is actually taking it on board! Sometimes it’s not always perfect but it’s helping! This is the beginning of something absolutely brilliant for @bigphil4444 WATCH THIS SPACE!!! “Rome wasn’t built in a day”

Alot of my week can involve sitting about planning and programming for adults/children alike making sure their upcoming week is successful and preductive. So much so my own training at times suffers. I've made the conscience decision to hit 10,000 steps every day !

I think it’s safe to say my physical therapy is paying off. I can definitely tell a difference in my movement speed on this video vs recent ones. Running my trusty @coltfirearms M4 carbine with @trijicon MRO I’m in love with the @pofusa Flat I believe 2.5lb trigger I put on it. Best “blemished” @joeboboutfitters purchase I’ve ever had the pleasure of making. Its fast becoming my favorite running gun although I know my next 10.5” barrel build will steal its shine.

Instead of focusing too deeply on the number, look for general trends. If the general trend is downwards, keep going! If your nutrition, training and steps are 10/10 then look to manage stress with activities like meditation, getting back into old hobbies and prioritising good sleep hygiene!⁠

Rather than looking at daily readings, focus more on the average change over time; this can help to wash out these day-to-day fluctuations. ⁠

Not all lifts are about going super heavy, hitting 1 rep maxes, or feeling dead™️ after your workout. The biggest component of lifting is your technique - the core of you training is here! -
I ALWAYS start an exercise with a warmup set to get into the motions of the movement which helps me improve my technique for heavy lifts. While I lift heavy some days, there are many other days that I focus on light weight and explosive power. -
REMEMBER to leave your ego at the door when you go to the gym because it’s SO IMPORTANT to have a good technique vs. just lifting the weight! Having days where you lift light will help you so much with your form and explosive strength for you heavy lifts so don’t overlook those days!!

Since summer is officially over, here are the results from my cut of 2019.

Honestly I could've made it a faster cut, since the last pic was taken in mid August and I began the cut in April. However, by taking it slow I was able to maintain all my strength and actually increase my lift numbers.

The first pic was taken at the end of my bulk (173lbs, 20% bodyfat)

The last pic was at the end of the cut (159lbs, 14%bodyfat). If I learned something from my bulk/cut cycle this year it's that dirty bulking is a fool's game, and eating 3000-4000 calories will probably make you fat. You can only gain so much muscle so fast and it's important to not gain more than 1lb a week. Also, don't bulk until 20% bodyfat because you look like a blob and at that point, estrogen levels increase, and your cut will take a goddamn year.
